It’s too easy to just list a working resume with the names of so many musical icons and compatriots but truth be told there has not been an accomplishment in my life more meaningful than the birth of my twin boys Giancarlo and Luca to my wife Yanni and I. There is truly nothing more astonishing than the pure love of the most beautiful, living, breathing beings that I hold in my arms and in my heart each and every day. I continue to work and play with musicians that I admire and respect as often as possible, never losing sight of my responsibility as a dad and a husband. I know now how my dad felt when he held my brothers and me. I remember his grasp and the feel of his love just as I know Giancarlo and Luca will someday…. In the meantime I keep a busy schedule both at home and abroad with, when looking back at  both the past and recent past, may look like a who’s who of the music business. I’m always thankful for what I have in my life and never lose sight of how fortunate and blessed I truly am.

Recently, I was asked to join Billy Joel and his band for the historic “Last Play at Shea” shows where we performed for over 60,000 people a night and were joined by Don Henley, John Mellencamp, John Mayer and Tony Bennett. The second show trumped it with a return from Tony Bennett along with new turns from Steven Tyler, Roger Daltry, Garth Brooks and, as if that were not enough, Sir Paul McCartney. We came up with a quick horn line so we could join Steven Tyler on “Walk This Way” and stayed on stage to sing along with Paul for his encore performance of “Hey Jude”.

One of my most recent memorable accomplishments was in Boston performing at Symphony Hall with The Boston Pops and Michael Cavanaugh, the Grammy and Tony award nominated star of Billy Joel’s Broadway show “Movin’ Out”. The excitement and anticipation of going back to Boston where I attended Berklee School of Music and stepping onto the stage of Symphony Hall was indescribable. We played to 3 sold out audiences and received multiple standing ovations and outstanding reviews.

Aside from my most recent moments I’ve toured and recorded with Funk legends Tower of Power, Rock icons Billy Joel, Hall & Oates, Pop superstars Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez, Huey Lewis and Michael Bolton and Latin luminaries Willie Colon and Celia Cruz.
